Welcome to the Munson 2011 adoption journey blog!
The Munson family was Blessed in an abundant way on Friday April 1. We received good news of great joy and much answered prayer. After waiting 5 years and 5 months we received the referral from the CCAA of our forever adopted daughter. We will be waiting approximately 60 days to travel for our Gotcha Day to bring her home. Please pray for our daughter Sofie Grace Lian, her care givers and our family as we begin the last leg of our journey to begin.

Only 15 Days to go til we take off for China to meet Chun Lian (aka Sofie Grace)for the first time! We so very excited for our gotcha day!
ReplyDeleteEach day we inch a little closer to making our adoption journey a reality. We recently booked our airfare and have a confirmed itinerary for our trip.
We leave DFW at 6:35 pm on Wednesday 5/25 on AA247 to os Angles, change to China Southern Airlines and arrive Beijing at 11:55 am on 5/27. 5/28 is a sight seeing day in Bejing. Then begin our in country travel and fly to Sofie's province on 5/29 and gotcha day is tentatively scheduled for 5/30. We spend 4 days and then fly to Guangzhou for remainder of our in country travel. June 4th-6th the country shuts down for Dragon Boat Festival. Our appointment with the US Consulate is scheduled for June 9th. Our return flight departs on 6/10 from Guangzhou at 9:00 pm, arrives Los Angeles at 6:50 pm then departs Los Angeles at 12:55 am, arrives Dallas at 5:50 am on American flight AA2408.
Our wait has given us all a new meaning to the word Patience. God has provided us all the encouragement we have needed to finish what he put on our hearts back in November of 2005. We are so thankful to each of you have provided financial support, prayers and encouragment to make this journey a reality.
